The Law Offices of Heywood G. Friedman is pleased to announce that Yan Falkinstein, Esq. MBA has joined the firm as Managing Attorney of its Workers’ Compensation Practice. With nearly 13 years’ experience as a workers’ compensation defense attorney, including over three years as a Supervising Attorney at another highly regarded defense firm, Yan brings extensive experience in claims management, team leadership, and complex defense strategy.
Throughout his career, Yan has managed high-volume caseloads, mentored attorneys, and maintained strong relationships with private employers, public agencies, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. He is an expert in representing clients in all phases of workers’ compensation litigation, from initial case evaluation through trial.
As Managing Attorney, Yan will lead the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice, oversee attorney development and training, and play a key role in the continued expansion of the firm’s statewide presence, in addition to maintaining a full caseload of files.

Yan is a graduate of the nationally recognized Joint JD/MBA program at Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law/Graziadio Business School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from UCLA.
